#DeepThoughtSeries - Episode 2: "The Reality Distortion Field"

Image
One lesson I learn from studying the lives of great men and women is the audacity at which, they act on new ideas. From an early age, they train to awaken innate creative instincts. Solving complex problems comes natural to these special few, and preparing ahead for opportunities is the holy grail for major success. Science tells us the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, and the earth is rather spherical, not circular in shape. Because this is proven to be true, we have become confined to this scientific thinking, without having to question reality beyond the known truths. Another analogy says, metals are known to be good conductors of electricity, and in same vein, the human brain has potential to conduct ideas from infinite to finite forms. If it is true that life gives an unfair advantage to all humans, why then do some persons settle for less, while others blaze new trails? Let's take a dive into the inspiring story of Steve Jobs - a notable Americ...

#DeepThoughtSeries - Episode 1: "Made in China"

I have spent the most part of my life in Nigeria. Fr om witnessing the transition from Military rule to Democratic system of governance - although as an infant, to growing up in the richly-blessed Niger Delta region, words will fail me to mention, but looking back, it's been fun and adventures all the way.  I Later in this post, I will be sharing  in detail a particular experience that always fascinates me. Keep an open mind, this is not to throw shades at anyone. Stay with me. Recently, the world started facing a health crisis, with the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19). The best brains in economics and science never could have predicted this occurrence, and sadly, ever since it began in late 2019, the world HASN'T remained the same. The total active (confirmed) cases of COVID-19 worldwide has risen beyond 1.5 million mark and the global death toll keeps skyrocketing o n a daily basis.   Many countries didn't take it very seriously at the onset an...

COVID-19: Tips on Digital Security

Image
As the world leans towards increasing digital productivity, now more than ever, we can no longer underestimate the power of digital security! While we seek to stay safe at home, its also very important we "stay safe online". Few days ago, I received a "Work from Home" guide via mail from Co-Creation Hub, which contained important information as regards digital security. This was timely! It hurts to hear reports of hacks and internet scam, so here are useful tips you may also want to learn about digital security: - For individuals and organisations working from home, do you have a personal security culture that guides your work routines? Are employees fully aware of how they can exchange sensitive official content with each other? If no, you need to think about the implications. - Activate TWO-WAY AUTHENTICATION and USE STRONG PASSWORDS to secure all your social media accounts (a combination of upper and lower case, letters and symbols), NEVER DISCLO...

Unlocking Power From Within

Flo's Dad wrote her a letter from Alabama, USA -  her family residence. She was so excited to receive this good news and felt this was a perfect note. It reads: "My daughter, Flo. I am writing to awaken the Lion in you. You are my heir, and I am proud of the woman you've become. This is my gift to you as you mark your 25th Birthday Celebration. As you grow older, remember that you are shaped by the people, events, energy and environment you surround yourself with. You're the average of the people you share your journey with. Guard your heart with diligence. I learned this the hard way, please take heed to my words this day. Many times, tough circumstances would arise, forcing you to reexamine your vision, intentions and the people in your life. This life can be very unpredictable. Stay firm, decide thoughtfully, and act swiftly, Flo! There will be times when you may doubt yourself, your dreams and your direction. It is okay to feel you have not figured it al...
